Bargainarama Bake Sale
If you're not sure you can volunteer your time on the day of the Bargainarama, why not make something for us to sell on the Club's bake sale table.
GUIDELINES
To make your life easier we have put together some simple guidelines regarding the preparation and presentation of your baking - Bake Sale Guidelines

Here are some easy recipes you could use. For a printable version, click HERE
NOTE: If possible please include a list of ingredients with your baking, or at least clearly identify if the items contain nuts, dairy, eggs and wheat. If your child has a food allergy, why not bake something they can eat, it's sure to be appreciated by other parents.
Chelsea Honey Bubbles, sourced from www.chelsea.co.nz
Spray a sponge roll tin, approximately 20 x 30 cm, with non stick baking spray.
Place butter, honey and sugar in a medium sized saucepan. Stir over medium-high heat until it boils. Turn heat down but maintain the boiling for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the rice bubbles. Press into the prepared sponge roll tin and leave to set. Mark into squares. When completely cold remove from the tin and cut along the marks. Store in an airtight container.

Chocolate Icing:
Place butter, sugar, milk and cocoa in a saucepan and heat slowly.
When the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is bubbling, add the roughly crushed biscuits, chopped walnuts and coconut.
Press into a well buttered roasting dish, ice while still hot with chocolate icing.
Cut into fingers when cool.

1 packet of Malt biscuits

half a tin of condensed milk
-
100g butter
-
1 packet of eskimo lollies
Crush malt biscuits, and cut eskimo lollies into small pieces.
Melt the butter, and condensed milk in the microwave.
Then mix all ingredients together. Roll into a log, and wrap in grease paper, or flatten into a tray and put into the fridge to set.
Cut into slices.
